Amanda and Chris – Harraseeket Inn Freeport Maine Summer Wedding Photography
I first met Amanda and Chris last year in September 2014 while photographing the wedding of Amanda’s brother, Adam and his wife Katie. Amanda was working to complete her master’s degree and Chris was serving active duty in the US Air Force. I was delighted when Amanda and Chris called on me to create the visual story of their own wedding day at the lovely Harraseeket Inn nested downtown in Freeport, Maine (just a block or two from the famous LL Bean flagship store).
Earlier this year, I spent an evening with Amanda and Chris in the spring in the lush fields and evening light of the Massabesic Audubon Center in Auburn, New Hampshire while creating engagement photos. Here is a quick flashback!

Andrew joined me for the day as second shooter, spending time with Chris before the wedding, and creating a lot of great shots for the day’s storytelling. It was especially neat to be joined by Andrew, not only for his contribution to the day’s photos, but he lives walking distance from the Inn. (A short ride home is always a plus…inviting me to stop by for a beer at his house after the wedding was a plus+ haha, thanks man :).
Getting Ready
I visited Amanda in her room while Kim was busily work her art.
Kim is the only makeup artist I have seen bring her own lights on location. Good lights make photog happy! 🙂
Amanda gifted satin embroidered robes to each bridesmaid.
Amanda wore her grandmother’s pearls.
On our way to the ceremony, we stopped in the cozy lounge of the Harraseeket Inn for a polar bear serenade. Good fun 🙂
Meanwhile, Andrew visited Chris with the guys in the inn. Chris gave each of his guys a mug, each with special meaning for each person. If you look closely, the second is the father of the bride with his pockets turned out…I got an additional chuckle from that one.
Chris spends a moment with his father David relaxing before the ceremony.

Reception in the Ballroom
Amanda and Chris danced to Love Will Keep Us Alive, by the Eagles, sung wonderfully by Amanda’s uncle.
Amanda’s father shares a dance with his daughter.
And this one was for me. Amanda and Chris: it was my extraordinary pleasure to create imagery to tell your wedding story, and a pleasure to see Katie and Adam again as well.
Enjoy and share liberally,
