Brogan and Jake – Bedford Village Inn Summer Wedding Photography

I had the pleasure of first meeting Brogan at the wedding of her sister Danica, back in 2013. I was delighted when she called me to photograph her own wedding planned for this summer around several wonderful locations here in southern New Hampshire.

I am humbled and honored by how frequently I see my clients again after their wedding through referrals to their friends and family members. Brogan, Danica and her husband Matt, and their wonderful families are no exception.

I got to meet Brogan’s fiancé, Jake last summer for their engagement session at once of my favorite photography spots over in Auburn (the Massabesic Audubon Center) and also meet their handsome young son who you’ll be seeing more of later.

Here are few photos from Brogan and Jake’s engagement session.

This warm summer night of photos in the long grass and fields of the Audubon Center leads us to this summer of 2016 and Brogan and Jake’s wedding day story.

Wedding Venue and Vendors

No day is complete without a roundup of great places and people. Today’s venue and vendors are top shelf folks to work with and create the best wedding day possible.

Mandy joined me for the day as second shooter, spending time with Jake and the guys, shooting lots of scrumptious details around the room, and contributing to the day’s visual storytelling.

Ceremony at Our Lady of Mercy Church

With our eyes not far from the radar pane in the WeatherBug app and the green blotches that were approaching, we arrived at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Merrimack NH and found a visually telling house of worship beautifully set for Brogan and Jake’s wedding ceremony.

Jake and the guys arrived at the church where I took the opportunity for a few shots of Jake before the ceremony.

Brogan chose her sister Danica as her matron of honor. Danica’s husband Matt helped take care of Brogan and Jake’s son throughout the day while his mommy and daddy were getting married.

Jake and best man, Derek wait for the bride to arrive.

Jeff helps his daughter out of the limo as a little summer moisture makes its way down.

Father Paul lead the Catholic wedding mass.

Uncle Day Care 🙂

Thankfully the rain let up just as we left the ceremony. The roses surrounding the church served as an accent to our family portraits.

We made our way over to the Bedford Village Inn for lots of photos, cocktails and celebration. I enjoy using the sculpted landscaping at BVI.

I like the play between the rhododendron and the lavender color scheme.

Each of Brogan’s bridesmaids signed her blue shoes.

Reception Photos at Bedford Village Inn

As a setting for a wedding, the grounds, decor and country elegance of the Bedford Village Inn could not be more appropriate.

With the rain well past the area, guests gathered in the courtyard for cocktails and hors d’oeuvres amidst family and friends.

The festivities kicked off with the spritely introduction of the parents and wedding party.

Brogan and Jake make their grand entrance for the first time as husband and wife along with their son.

Oh, and this happened. Please understand I am just an unbiased bystander. I just take the pictures haha.

DJ Shaun of Get Down Tonight kept the energy amped and the dance floor full.

This night cannot get any better. You are thinking it, I know. But then comes the burger sliders and make your own ice cream sundaes, complete with all the sauces, fixing, and dancing servers.

My favorite element for a closer shot at BVI is the antique phone booth. I love how these came out for Brogan and Jake.

Brogan and Jake: It was such a pleasure spending your wedding day with you and your families. I hope you enjoy these photos as much as I enjoyed creating them for you. Thank you for letting me tell your wedding story in photos.
